Diegetic sound
Use a 'diegetic' (natural) soundtrack as a starting point. You could use the 'diegetic sound' example on the CD. (Mmms/video/sound/diegetic.mov), make your own, or record a section from a film or television programme. Now find or film images to make a film which illustrates this soundtrack.

Music
Take a piece of music as the starting point, and produce a montage sequence to illustrate it. Try to edit precisely to the rhythm of the music.

Title sequence
Shoot a short scene or title sequence from a story or play. Create the soundtrack to accompany it, combining music and diegetic sound.
