First Light is a UK Film Council-funded scheme which supports film-making by young people aged 7-18.

Grants of between £4,000 for making one short film and £20,000 for making 2-4 short films are available.

The next deadlines for applications are 13 July 2004, 12 October 2004, and 18 January 2005.
