This one-day course explores how teachers can use moving image and other media to support language work at Key Stage 2, particularly Speaking and Listening.

It includes:

• enhancing children’s understanding of narrative, viewpoint and audience by using films and television programmes
• speaking and listening activities based on easily available resources such as photographs, newspapers and print advertisements
• language-focused media-making activities, from audio news bulletins to digital video.

Available in English or Welsh, or as a bilingual course including activities in both languages.
