We can provide screening-based workshops in cinemas, arts centres and other venues. Each day starts with a short introduction followed by the screening. The afternoon session combines presentations, examination of short clips, discussions and group activities, with worksheets and explanatory handouts.

We can offer these sessions to cover a wide range of different curriculum areas and exam specifications. If you have a specific film you'd like us to cover, please get in touch.

Examples of workshops:

  • Hedd Wyn, Solomon a Gaenor (Welsh)
  • Blade Runner, Living in Oblivion (Media Studies/Film Studies)
  • Shrek (Primary literacy), Holes (KS3 English), Carrie's War (KS2/3 English, History), Amélie (French), Run Lola Run, Goodbye Lenin (German)*.

We are currently developing a new workshop on A Way of Life, Amma Asante's hard-hitting (15 certificate) film about social exclusion and racism in South Wales, targeted at the Wales and the World component of the Welsh Bac.
