Making movies make sense

This interactive guide is ideal for teaching about film language and filmmaking at Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3. You can use it in Primary and Secondary English and ICT and for media education/media literacy in PSE and other subjects.

Specially shot video clips, stills and sound clips explain concepts like shot size (eg wide shots, long shots and closeups), high and low key lighting, colour, and continuity editing, It also has hands-on practical film-making information, with guidance on composition, lighting, sound recording and editing, and a section on how to organise filmmaking.
