“The footage is excellent. I love the variety of shots. There is a really clear narrative to the sequence, but enough variation for the edit to convey a number of moods / genres very effectively…The instructions are clear. They start with very specific ideas about the timing and selection of clips, but as the editing process progresses, allow the student to take more and more control.”
Richard Anderson, Wolverhampton City Learning Centre
The story is simple: a boy stands on a beach looking out to sea. He gets a text message, looks around, but there’s nobody there. Suddenly a girl appears from behind some rocks and walks up behind him.
The product includes a sample edit, stills sheet and detailed instructions on how to use the film to learn about framing, sequencing, camera position, camera movement, shot-reverse shot, the 180 degree rule and editing on the action. The download version also includes a guide to basic iMovie editing techniques.
Clips are in h.264 format, black and white, 720×576, for iMovie 11 or iMovie 09. They are silent so you can create your own soundtrack using iMovie effects or Garageband.
