We offer training for teachers and schools, from the basics of media and film education to teaching Media Studies, filmmaking and using film across the curriculum. We can deliver training throughout Wales, the UK and Europe. We provide CPD in schools and teachers’ centres and to clusters, and we input to initial teacher training. Our training is available in English or Welsh.

Our training topics including Media Studies, Film Studies, English, Welsh, language, literature, music, global citizenship, modern foreign languages and the Welsh Bac. During 2011-12 our Ffilmschool Plus programme offers subsidised training to schools at a flat rate around Wales.

We can now offer accredited Film and Youth Work training, for youth workers and others wanting to use film and digital video with children and young people.

Media and Film 2011, our annual two-day INSET for WJEC Media and Film Studies teachers, is on 29/30 September.

We also undertake research and offer consultancy, such as our report on film education CPD needs for the Film Agency for Wales, and our guide Using Film in Schools for Film: 21st Century Literacy.
